The vineyards are located at altitudes of between 500 and 800 meters above sea level. The Aguarón soil is primary 90 cm of rocks and gravel until it finds a layer of pure clay that retains the little rain that the region gets.

The particularity of its rocky layer makes the Cariñena wines to be known as the “vinos de las piedras” (wines of the stones).

The land is low in nutrients, with excellent permeability conditions under a dry climate with extreme temperatures and always hit by the local wind “Cierzo" that endlessly blows in the region.

GARNACHA, TEMPRANILLO and MACABEO, are the predominant grape varieties, as well as the “CARIÑENA" native grape, all of them bush-vines of around 35 years old average.
