Chateau Notton 2009

Varietal: 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot 40%, 4.5% Cabernet Franc, 0.5% Carmenere

Tasting note: The wine offers rich aromas and flavors of ripe dark cherries, roses, licorice and notes of vanilla. The supple finish presents balanced acidity.

A great Margaux wine that is produced on part of Brane-Cantenac’s estate, Château Notton or Margaux by Henri Lurton, reveals the finesse and the complexity of Margaux’s greatest soils. It owes its remarkable fruit notes to the youth of that part of the vineyard. Henri Lurton and Christophe Capdeville use all their winemaking skills to bring out its best qualities. It is aged in oak barrels for one year and racked every three months like his elder brothers.
